Gap year Canada
Vast, rugged and wild, the world’s second biggest country is a place of soaring mountains, emerald green lakes, Northern Lights, glaciers and secluded beaches. The majestic landscape is inhabited by animals of a similar scale, from polar and grizzly bears to whales and moose. There’s much more to this beautiful country than its great outdoors though. With a lively creative scene, fabulous food, and a diverse and friendly population, it’s a great place to spend a gap year. There are plenty of opportunities for paid work in Canada as well, from hospitality, to teaching, childcare, admin and retail, so if you feel like really immersing yourself in daily life here, you can.
Adventure travel Canada
The landscape and dramatic climate of Canada make the perfect playground for adventurous travellers. From snowboarding in Whistler’s legendary mountains and white water rafting in Banff to skydiving in Edmonton and hiking the Arctic Circle, you’ll be spoilt for choice.
Student travel Canada
While Canada isn’t the cheapest country in the world to travel, there are plenty of ways to work on a budget. Using supermarkets and street food vendors for your meals will really cut costs, as will making the most of the country’s natural outdoor bounty, much of which can be enjoyed for free. With many Canadians being bilingual (French and English), it’s great for language students and of course, it’s a dream destination for anybody studying natural sciences.
