Gap year Zambia
If you’re looking for a challenge for your gap year, this is very much Africa in the raw. There’s less of the Westernised veneer you’ll find elsewhere on the continent, and it’s not a big tourist destination, so your experiences will be that bit more authentic and a lot less sanitised than in some of the big African destinations.
Adventure travel Zambia
Want thrills while you travel? Zambia has some of the continent’s most exciting wildlife parks in Kafue and South Luangwa. There you can watch leopard stalk herds of buffalo and impala across the plains, but still stay away from the crowds. If it’s action and adventure you want while you travel, Zambia is also a centre for all kinds of adrenaline sports, particularly around the mighty Victoria Falls – or “The Smoke That Thunders”, as it’s called locally, because it does both.
Student travel Zambia
Despite the excitements on offer, Zambia is one of the safest – and friendliest – countries in Africa, so it’s a great choice for student travel. And while to the north there are vast open spaces relatively undisturbed by the crowds, the capital Lusaka bustles with markets by days and music and clubs by night.
Volunteer work Zambia
In Zambia, you can get involved in volunteer projects that really make a difference. Like many African countries, HIV/AIDS is a problem and we’re involved with work in a lot of projects providing care and support to sufferers, including children.
