Day 1: New York, New York!
Welcome to the Big Apple, NYC, the city that never sleeps. You’re in for a treat over the course of the next few days. Depending on the time you arrive today, you might want to get yourself over to your hotel for a bit of R&R before heading out into the city to take a look around. This evening, you’ll get to meet the rest of your group and tour leader. Get to know your fellow travellers over a few drinks at some of New York’s best alternative bars.
Day 2: Lower Manhattan
We’ll make our way to Manhattan’s popular Lower East Side today, for a full tour of the district’s highlights, before making our way over to the One World Trade Centre, rebuilt in place of the fallen Twin Towers. If you’ve got a head for heights, make your way up to the Observatory for outstanding views across New York. The rest of the day is yours to explore and discover more of this brilliant city.
Day 3: Discover New York
Today is all yours to tour the city as you like. Head to the top of the Empire State Building, take a wander down Broadway and stop for some famous New York coffee in Times Square, get yourself over to Harlem for some jazz and plenty of soul food, check out the city’s best museums, hit the city’s iconic shops, or even hop in a helicopter for an incredible sky tour. In the evening, head out with the rest of your group for dinner.
Day 4: Farewell
Our New York adventure ends this morning, so enjoy breakfast, take some final group photos and swap contact details before heading off. If you’re staying in New York a while longer, get recommendations from your tour guide on things to see and do, orif you’re heading home, fit in some last-minute sightseeing before making your way to the airport.

Breakfast will be included each morning of your trip at your accommodation and will consist of typical continental-style food including cereals, bread, fruit, yoghurts, tea, coffee, and juice. You’ll enjoy an included dinner out with the rest of the group on day three of the trip. Food during the rest of the trip is not included and is yours to choose as you please, take your pick from the huge selection of eateries in New York – whether you want to try out the hotdogs and pretzels from roadside vendors, or fancy treating yourself to some fine dining at one of the city’s world-class restaurants – the choice is completely yours.

You will need to arrange your flight into one of New York’s airports, either John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), LaGuardia Airport (LGA),or Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), in time to meet your group at 7pm on your programme start date. Your tour ends at approximately 9am on day 4 of the itinerary – you’re free to depart any time afterwards.

The minimum age to join this trip is 18 years, the maximum age is 39 years. Please be aware that the legal drinking age in the USA is 21. If you are under 21-years-old, you will not be able to buy alcohol and may be restricted from entering bars etc.
All nationalities require a full passport that must be valid for 6 months beyond the intended length of stay. It is your responsibility to have the correct personal documents and to obtain your own visa, if one is necessary, in accordance with the regulations of the country you are to visit. Visa Waiver Programme (VWP) The US Visa Waiver Programme (VWP) allows most British Citizen passport holders to visit the US for up to 90 days. The types of journey that are permissible under the VWP include tourism, certain types of business visit and transit to another country. If you have a British passport that describes your nationality as something other than ‘British Citizen’ you will need to get a visa.
All those travelling under the Visa Waiver Programme arriving by air or sea should provide details online at least 72 hours before travel. This is known as an Electronic System for Travel Authorisation or ESTA. If you don’t have an ESTA you’ll be refused travel to the USA. Of course! Most of our travellers go on our trips alone, so you’ll meet plenty of others in the same situation, and likely be firm friends by the end of your first day. You’ll also have an awesome trip leader and you'll always have our 24-hour emergency support if you need any assistance during your travels.
What Can I Do In My Free Time?
New York is a fascinating city, and there’s always something to do! There are some optional activities that your trip leader will be able to set up for you if you’d like to participate in any of them, including TV and movie tours, helicopter tours, and Central Park bicycle excursions. If you’d like to get involved with any of these optional activities, simply let your trip leader know and they can give you information about prices and availability.
Are Airport Transfers Included?
Airport transfers aren’t included as part of this itinerary, so you’ll be responsible for getting yourself to the initial meeting point and getting back to the airport on the day of your departure, though your guide will be more than happy to help you make arrangements.
