Day 1: Hello Auckland - Say a big hello to New Zealand and enjoy the wonderful city of Auckland. Explore city, head over to Waiheke Island on a ferry, before meeting your group at a welcome meeting this evening.
Days 2-3: Raglan – Leave Auckland behind, as you travel south to Raglan. Kayak through the region’s secluded bays and coves (keep an eye out for Orcas!), grab a surfboard for a surf lesson, and hike through some of New Zealand’s most enchanting trails.
Day 4: Rotorua - Venture out on an optional exciting excursion in the wonderful Waitomo Caves, famous for its glowworms! Then make your way towards Rotorua and experience its wonderful Maori history and culture.
Day 5: Taupo – Have a free day to explore Taupo. Go whitewater rafting, visit the colourful pools of the geothermal park, or slip away in a relaxing spa. Then, head to Lake Taupo and enjoy the views from your accommodation over the peaceful lake!
Day 6: Wellington - See the magical scenery en route to New Zealand’s capital city- Wellington. Visit the National Museum, Te Papa before opting to go in a cable car. Then, head out with your group to try out Wellington’s lively nightlife!
Days 7 & 8: Abel Tasman National Park - Embark across the magnificent Cook Strait for breathtaking views over the Marlborough Sounds, as you head to the South Island. Trek through the stunning Abel Tasman National Park and see the shimmering beauty of white sand across two days of Kiwi bliss.
Day 9: Westport - Witness glittering black stretches of beaches and stop by a fur seal colony at Cape Foulwind. After learning everything about these wonderful animals, journey on to Westport with your group.
Days 10-11: Franz Josef – Hike around the magical Pancake Rocks, formed millions of years ago, before making your way onwards to Franz Josef. Go kayaking, horseback riding, glacier hiking or chill out in your epic rainforest lodge.
Days 12-14: Queenstown - Stay in the ultimate place for adrenaline junkies over the next few days- Queenstown. Go skydiving, white water rafting, bungee jumping, ziplining and more in the world’s adventure capital, or just chill out and explore the laid-backed city streets.
Day 15: Te Anau - See the beautiful scenery of Milford Sound and the Fiordland National Park from the deck of a boat and be wowed by epic waterfalls and giant mountains. Spot dolphins and seals swimming past then stop by a magical glowworm cave.
Days 16 & 17: Central Otago - Visit the picturesque beauty of Te Anau and spot endangered takahe birds flying above in the magnificent New Zealand sky. Then travel past gold rolling hills before entering Central Otago and cycling the historic Otago Rail Trail.
Day 18: Christchurch – Arrive into the charming city of Christchurch, and see how the city has re-built itself from an earthquake in 2011. Explore off the beaten track on a local-led guided tour, before spending a unique night in a converted jailhouse!
Day 19: Kaikoura – Head to the stunning coastal town of Kaikoura and have the afternoon to explore. Opt to head out to spot whales and seals, which the area is famous for, or even swim with dolphins off the coast!
Day 20: Wellington - Travel to Wellington and experience this compact city bursting to life with culture, urban atmosphere and rocky little shores. If you’re a fan of Lord of the Rings, make sure to check out the Weta workshop, before a last night celebration with your buddies.
Day 21: Wellington - Enjoy your final day in beautiful New Zealand before waving goodbye to your travel adventures before boarding a flight back home. What a fantastic trip!

During this trip, you will be staying for 11 nights in hostels, 3 nights in basic hotels and 6 nights in basic lodges. Most nights are single-sex multi-share of 4-6 per room.
20 breakfasts, 1 lunch & 5 dinners are included on this trip.
You should arrive into Auckland Airport in New Zealand at any time on day 1.
On day 21, you can depart at any time from Wellington International Airport. If you would prefer to extend your stay in New Zealand, your trip guide can help you with any onward travel arrangements.
This trip is designed for 18-39 year olds.
British passport holders can stay in the country for up to 6 months as a tourist.
Visitors who are transitting through or entering New Zealand as tourists will need to hold an Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) before travelling to New Zealand. Tourists will also need to pay an International Visitor Conservation and Tourism Levy (IVL) alongside the ETA. People entering New Zealand on a Working Holiday Visa do not require an ETA. Please check with the relevant embassy before departure for up to date visa advice.

To begin with, many trips will run with amended group sizes, so you may find smaller groups than would be typical. This may vary by trip, or even by individual departure dates.
Whilst there may be changes on our trips, it is vital that you make travelling safer for yourself, your travel companions, the local staff and guides, and the people of the country you are visiting. You should follow all local laws and restrictions, and follow the guidance of the local team. In addition, you can help make travel safer by bringing and using your own face coverings/masks and hand sanitiser, social distance where appropriate, wash your hands frequently, and cover your face when coughing or sneezing.
